The PT-CREST Syringe Pump is a machine that helps deliver medicine or fluids to a patient at a controlled rate. It has a computer system and sensors that make sure the fluid is given at the correct speed. If the flow of the fluid is different from what is set, the pump will sound an alarm. The pump includes a part that holds the syringe and pushes the fluid into the patient. If the actual rate of the fluid delivery is off by more than 1% from the set rate, the pump will automatically stop.
