Description
The Mallinckrodt HI-LO Oral Endotracheal Tube is equipped with Taperguard technology. The low-Impact and low-pressure endotracheal tube is equipped with features that may help reduce the tracheal impact of intubation. Mallinckrodt endotracheal tube is manufactured with a unique, taper-shaped cuff design that provides a smaller area of contact with the patient’s airway than traditional barrel-shaped cuffs. The taper guard technology exerts 29% less pressure on the trachea and reduces intracuff pressure required to obtain an adequate seal. Mallinckrodt endotracheal tube provides more uniform pressure distribution than and comes with a Murphy's eye. It reduces microaspiration by as much as 90% compared. The tube is sterile and is meant for single patient use only. They come in a standard packing of 10 units per box.
