- The dressing is easily mouldable and patient friendly.
- The Eugenol free dressing supports process of healing and is compatible with resins.
- The periodontal dressing is meant to be used only by a dental professional in the recommended indications.
- Indications:
- For surgical dressing and periodontal pack.
- Use Coe-Pak whenever a periodontal paste is required.
- For wound dressing, to cover up stitches or to stabilize loose teeth.
- Directions for Use:
- For non-automix, use a spatula and a COE mixing pad. Do not use a rigid or narrow spatula. Thorough mixing is very important. This is more easily done with a wide, flexible spatula.
- For non-automix, extrude equal lengths of paste from catalyst and base tubes. Spatulate for 30-45 seconds or until the two pastes are a uniform color. If you would like a harder dressing, add a small amount of zinc oxide powder to the pink paste (catalyst) before spatulating.
- Using a spatula, form the mixed pastes into a cylindrical shape
- Lightly lubricate your fingers with a thin film of vaseline, lanolin, cold cream, or water and test the mixed pastes for tackiness (it should lose its tackiness after 2-3 minutes; 1 minute for Hard & Fast set)
- COE-PAK can be handled and molded 2 to 3 minutes after mixing. With your fingertips, roll the cylindrical form off the COE mixing pad (1 minute for Hard & Fast).
- COE-PAK remains workable for 10-15 minutes (5-8 minutes for Hard & Fast and at least 8 minutes for Automix NDS). During this time it can be formed in the usual manner into ropes or other desired shapes.
- During its working stage COE-PAK is extremely cohesive. It can be formed into ropes of virtually any diameter for easy placement against tissue and teeth.
